The organ is located in the back gallery of the church, and most of it is made of Sipo mahogany. The 58-note keyboards are bone and Nigerian ebony inlaid with bone. The tracker touch is remarkably responsive, considering that the console is detached from the organ and connected to the actions with long tracker runs.
Built in 2001, the organ was dedicated on December 1 of that year by concert organist Peter Sykes, who summed up the visual and musical effect of the new instrument in his program inscription to Ruffatti: "Beautiful!"
The United Congregational Church in Little Compton was established in 1704. The current edifice dates from 1832 and stands guard over the Old Burying Ground, which goes back to 1675, and over the gravestone of Elizabeth Pabodie, daughter of John and Priscilla Alden.
